Your first consultation will start with a thorough medical history. This may include
questions regarding past accidents, illnesses, hospitalisations, medication you are
currently taking or lifestyle issues.
We will then conduct a physical examination
of the problematic area in order to appreciate what the possible cause of the problem
could be.. Your diagnosis and recommended care will then be explained to you so
that you can understand your problem and therefore help yourself to a fuller recovery.
We are always available for any questions and to give you ongoing advice. All your
information is handled with the strictest confidentiality.
Are there any adverse effects after treatment?
You may find that you are sore for 24-48 hours after a treatment. A small percentage
of patients may find that treatment may aggravate problems or exacerbate an old injury
that is not functioning / moving very well. If symptoms do not improve after 24-48
hours or get much worse, please phone the practice. Don't wait until the next appointment.
We will advise you or bring your appointment forward if necessary.
How Many Treatments will I require?
The number of treatments often depends on how long you have had the problem and how
badly it has escalated and can be dependant on your general health and well being
at the time. Two or three treatments may be sufficient to sort out many complaints,
but each individual case will differ as a result, hence it is always best to try
and treat any recent injuries you have as soon as possible.
Cancellation of an Appointment
A cancellation fee of £25.00 will be charged for missed appointments or appointments
cancelled with less than 24 hours notice.
What should I wear?
We would ask that if you are suffering from acute back or neck pain, to please wear
clothes that you can easily remove. Most treatments will require that you remove
clothing around the problematic area.
